Since early adulthood I have had a fascination with photography. I was attracted to the beauty and detail of the pictures and interested in how such pictures were created. For the past decade I have acted on that youthful fascination. First beginning with film, and then shortly thereafter with digital photography and processing. Prior to 2006, I honed my craft as a hobby, carrying my camera everywhere I went; even to work, looking for the next photo opportunity. If I wasn’t at work or out taking pictures, you would find me on the computer researching techniques and investigating every aspect of the latest processing software.

Although I enjoy all types of photography, nature photography is perhaps my favorite to shoot. The colors and details of nature are so beautifully captured with the latest technology. However my attraction to photography doesn’t stop with the camera. With digital photography comes the “digital darkroom”. For me, the processing of the pictures is a creative tool to release from the Raw captures I envisioned when I took them. The final product is my art.

In 2006, I took my hobby to the next level. Now a full-time photographer, I am able to dedicate more time to my passion of photography. I now have the freedom to pursue a wider variety of photography opportunities and enjoying every minute of it.

I would enjoy the opportunity to shoot your next special event or portrait needs. For portraits, they can be done either in studio, in your home, or favorite outdoor location. Special events are not limited to weddings and anniversaries. I will be more than happy to come on location for your child’s athletic events or family reunion. For me, every event of nature and life is just an opportunity to capture moments for generations to come, my own and yours.

My nature photography is available for printed purchases. They make beautiful accents for your home or as a gift. I will also take specific requests for nature photography if within my realm of ability to create the piece.
